Turbidite Sedimentation in Confined Systems 

This two-day meeting took place in the lively Mediterranean city of Nice, close to the spectacular outcrops of the Grès d’Annot (Annot Sandstones), which formed the subject of the post-conference field-trip.  A total of 67 participants from 14 countries contributed to an extremely lively meeting with a great deal of stimulating debate.  The programme was both technically excellent and wide-ranging, with more than 50 presentations covering experimental, outcrop, subsurface and modern systems worldwide (France, Spain, Italy, Wales, Turkey, Poland, Slovakia, South Africa, North Sea, Gulf of Mexico, Brazil, Mediterranean, Caspian, Zaire and others).
